Furlogh

I'm on furlogh right now, living in the States and trying to balance: Growing in Christ, visiting churches and individuals, working full-time, preparing to return to Belgium, talking to my fiance every day, planning my wedding, online graduate courses and hanging out with my friends and family. Whew!

My first church visit

I'm leaving tomorrow to go on my first church visit after returning from Belgium.  I'm going to Winneconne, WI with Larry and Sue, to visit a small church up there who has been very supportive of Timothy Ministries and who is interested in getting on board with my mission.  Please be praying that the trip will go well and be safe and that we will plant seeds for Jesus there.  I'm looking forward to some quality time in the car with Larry and Sue too.  Honestly, I'm nervous about this because it's my first time and I'm not really sure exactly what's expected of me.  Generally, though, as long as you're honest and earnest, God will do the rest.

Today is a day of errands and hanging out with my sister, though.  We're going to do some shopping in Janesville.  Our original thought had been to go to the Walworth county fair, but I'm too tired and the weather is too sketchy.  Fortunately we didn't have our hearts set on it, so it's ok.

I'm going to go take a nap - I can still hear Target voices and sounds ringing in my head.  Man, it's been a long week, but today is payday!!!
Love in Christ,

Blogging again?

I'm trying not to think of this as a blog, so much as a newsletter with a few personal things thrown in.

So, news for now? Well, I'm back in Beloit after six months in Belgium. I'm currently living with my parents and commuting to work at Target (A half hour each way) in Janesville. I'm enjoying my new job, though the hours and commute are CRAZY. I work 4am to 12:30 pm every day. So here I am, waking up at 2:45 in the morning to haul my butt off to work by 4am. I wish I could say that there's a freedom to getting off work at 12:30, but with the commute and my current lack of personal space, I'm pretty much just exhausted. Good news? Yes: I will be moving to Janesville in October and getting my own room at my cousin's house. Woohoo! Also, I like the work atmosphere, my job is interesting and my co-workers are nice to work with so far. I praise God for allowing me to work here and for helping me to find a job so quickly in work that I like.

Prayer requests? Please pray for Jean-Louis and I, for our patience. Pray for my energy and that I can draw all of my strength from God to do all that I have to do these days. Pray as I begin to visit churches and raise support for becoming a full-time missionary next year that God would open doors and allow us to minister His good news.

Blessings in Jesus.
